Skatepark Information
Description:
Positioned close to the town centre, Oakham skatepark contains quarter pipes, a flat bank, rails, ledges and a spine. The skatepark is well built and made from good quality wood. During peak times in the summer the skatepark is full of skateboarders, BMXers and Skaters of all ages and abilities.
The Oakham Skatepark project cost £25,000 and was finally completed in October 2007.
Amenities:
The skatepark is just a three minutes walk from public toilets, and is just as close to two car parks and Oakham town centre, where there are plenty of shops and cafes. The skatepark is well positioned and is about five minutes from the bus and train stations.
Although there is no floodlighting, the skatepark is situated in Cutts Close Park (near the All Saints Church) where there are street lights, bins, and grassy banks that are regularly used by bikers.
